Keeping your home clean is a huge priority before you go on vacation. Especially if you’re going to be out for a while, it’s always nice to go back to a clean and fresh home; here are some tips you can keep in mind:
- Open closet doors: Sometimes closets may develop a musty smell when they stay closed for a long time, so this is especially important. You can also help your closets stay fresh by placing a towel damped with your favorite Ensueño® Fabric Softener scent.
- Clean your garbage disposal: Before you go, flush the garbage disposal pouring a little CLORALEN® Advanced Formula and water while letting it run for a minute. The smell will be gone and won’t be back while you’re away.
- Unplug small appliances: Some devices still consume a little bit of power when they are not in use, so let just the necessary items plugged in such as the fridge, the alarm and the garage door.
- Set your water heater: It is not necessary to turn off your water heater; some of them have a “vacation mode” where you can dial the temperature down a few degrees to save energy, too.
- Mute your phone’s ringer: If you live in a condo complex or department, mute the ringer so people won’t hear it multiple times and be advised that you’re not home.
- Leave the kitchen clean: From the counters to the grease on your stove, you can use Multicleaner Pinalen® to clean, deodorize and degrease every surface in here.
Use these easy tips to keep your home clean and safe while you’re away and have a nice place to come back to.
